Privacy Policy
Last updated: 19 August 2026
This policy covers the Dadventure mobile app for Android. Dadventure is built and operated by NautilusIT.
The short version: the app works offline, there is no account to create, and there are no ads. What you do in the app stays on your phone. The only things that leave it are an anonymous crash report when the app breaks, and anything you type into the suggestion or feedback form and send us yourself.
What stays on your phone
What you do in the app is stored only in the app's own storage on your device. We cannot see it, and nothing here is uploaded - the one exception is the suggestion and feedback form described below, which sends only what you type into it. That includes:
- Your children's ages, if you enter them during onboarding. These are used on your device to suggest suitable activities. They are never transmitted.
- Which activities you have marked as done, and which you have favourited.
- Which activities you recently opened.
- Your language choice and your weekly reminder settings.
You can erase all of it at any time with Reset app in the app's settings. Uninstalling the app also removes it.
What leaves your phone
Three things, and nothing else.
Crash and performance diagnostics. When the app crashes or misbehaves, a report is sent to Sentry, which we use to find and fix the problem. A report contains the technical error, the device model, the operating system version and the app version. It does not contain your name, your email address, your children's ages, your activity history, your location, or any advertising identifier. Sentry processes this on our behalf and stores it on servers in the European Union. Reports are kept only as long as we need them to diagnose the problem, after which Sentry deletes them automatically.
What you send us on purpose. The app has a form for suggesting an activity and one for sending feedback. Nothing is sent until you fill it in and press send. What we receive is what you typed - the name and the description - and, if you choose to add one, a photo you pick from your gallery or take with the camera. That goes together with the app version, your device platform and your app language, so we can make sense of the report. It carries no account, no device identifier and no way to contact you: submissions are anonymous, which also means we cannot reply. It becomes a task on our own issue tracker, which is Jira, run by Atlassian on our behalf. The app reads no other photo, and never looks at your gallery on its own - only the one file you hand it. Please do not put anything into the form, or into a photo, that you would not want us to see, including faces and names.
App updates. The app checks for over-the-air updates from Expo's update service. Like any request to a server on the internet, this reveals your device's IP address and basic app and device information to that service. It carries none of your in-app data.
What we do not do
- No accounts, no sign-in, no passwords.
- No ads, and no advertising identifier is read or used.
- No purchases and no payment details.
- No tracking of what you look at or tap.
- No access to your location or contacts.
- No access to your photo gallery or camera except the single photo you choose to attach to a suggestion, at the moment you choose it.
- No selling of your data, and no sharing of it with anyone beyond the two processors named above who handle it on our behalf.
Notifications
If you turn on the weekly reminder, the notification is scheduled by your phone and fires from your phone. There is no push server, and switching it on tells us nothing. You can turn it off in the app's settings, or revoke the notification permission in Android settings.
Children
Dadventure is made for parents, not for children, and it is aimed at users aged 18 and over. The app is meant to be used by an adult and then put away, so that the activity happens away from the screen. Where the app asks about your children, that answer stays on your device, as described above.
Your rights
Because the app holds your data only on your own device, you already have direct control over it: Reset app erases it, and uninstalling removes it.
For the crash diagnostics described above, or for any question about this policy, email us at jonne@nautilusit.nl. If you would like a crash report associated with your device deleted, or a suggestion or feedback message you sent us removed, write to that address and we will remove it. Because submissions are anonymous, please tell us roughly what you sent and when, so we can find it. Under the GDPR you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority.
Changes to this policy
If we change how the app handles data, we will update this page and the date at the top of it before the change ships.
